We're thrilled to announce that Norway's first SURFSeq 5000 sequencing platform is now installed at Nocteva. Nocteva is a biotechnology company focused on accelerating therapeutic development for rare genetic diseases through advanced human organoid technology and translational research.

Professor Magnar Bjørås leads the Bjørås Group at NTNU and is the founder and CEO of NOCTEVA. He has received several national awards for his contributions to research and innovation, including the Innovation Award from the Research Council of Norway, the Gold Medal from Tekna, and NTNU's Award for Innovation and Collaboration with Industry. His research focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying rare genetic diseases and translating these discoveries into new therapeutic opportunities through advanced human model systems, multi-omics technologies, and functional genomics.

With the SURFSeq 5000 now installed in their lab, the team achieves complete in-house autonomy over all NGS workflows. Leveraging this sequencing platform, the lab intends to expand its scope to a broad range of bulk and single cell multiomic applications.

Special thanks to Filips Morozovs for his tireless on-the-ground support that delivered this successful installation.Thank you for Bjørås group's trust and collaboration — it is an honor to see our platform become part of a laboratory dedicated to such meaningful science.
